INDUSTRIAL TYRES

What you should know but are seldom told

SPECIALISTS throughout the industrial tyre industry, have confirmed that mis-use of tyres, more than any other factor, is the prime cause of failure. Users are advised to keep records and analyze performance of the tyres now in use on their equipment. Research has shown that improvements can sometimes be made simply by changing to a different size, grade or type of tyre. By selecting the right industrial tyre for the job you can save up to 50% on replacement costs.

Industrial tyres generally are subjected to exacting and abnormal conditions never experienced in normal road use, they are very seldom given any more consideration than the initial purchase price. As there is a wide range of tyre problems to be dealt with in industry it is important to select the correct tyre for the specific application in order to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

Industrial tyres are formulated to meet the most difficult conditions encountered, on this type of operation with such features as cut resistance, good surface adhesion, minimum rolling resistance and potential long-wearing properties.

For these reasons, the larger industrial tyre manufacturers incorporate in their range a number of types of tyres of the same size but with different compounds or tread designs. Each tyre was designed with a specific range of application in mind.
